On-ramp workout #3- Union Hospital’s Crossfit Challenge

Ok, so last night’s workout was challenging, but I’m beginning to see how this program can become addictive.  During the workout I thought my legs were going to collapse under me, really, I’m not just saying that.  I was almost afraid to even attempt to jump on the 21″ box for fear of scraping my shins the entire way up.  But truly, after the workout was done, I had such a feeling of accomplishment and pride.  I will say it again, I would never push myself as hard as I worked out last night, but I can do it!  I hope by the time I’m through this program, I will learn my push MYSELF and not set the treadmill and at comfortable pace then tune into the TV.  I’m not there yet.

Where are the classes Monday and Wed’s? Are they at the Union Hospital Fitness Center? Do you have to be a current member or may a person go to one class and try it out first? I am familiar and used to belong to that facility, and am currently seeking a workout routine! Thanks for any info!

Classes are at the Union’s CrossFit Gym on 4th St. next to APS Northside Clinic. You can call the fitness center at 812-238-7311 to learn more about the program. Hope to see you there!

As a CrossFit “addict” Shelley’s feelings of accomplishment and pride are exactly what hooks you. I have seen personal accomplishments of my own and from others and it is always exhilerating. The true strength of CrossFit is the ever evolving workout. There is always something new to try, to master. It keeps the training fun, and at times, frustrating; but you always want more. I cannot express with enough passion what this sport and the community have given me. There isn’t one thing that is for everyone, but this is definately for me and a lot of insane and fun individuals in the CrossFit family worldwide. Working out can be fun and challenging!!!
